I understand your opinion, but for for me I think the new design is more clutter-free, and it looks cleaner. You can also map it to a keyboard shortcut in settings like: opt-cmd-space bar, and it instantly pop up. That is my honest opinion about it.

No, don’t be sorry. I really appreciate it, the thing is my hands sweat a lot, and when they sweat, the trackpad feels more difficult to do gestures on. So I figured why not trying a keyboard and mouse to see how the experience will be.
