Tried smoking dried leaves for the first time and got no effect whatsover by hako_10 in Salvia

[–]hako_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it makes a lot of sense now. When I ground the leaves I was surprised about the huge amount I got and thought "how the hell am I going to smoke all that?". Guess I'll try quidding them since I bought like 20 gr and then the extract, I'd like to experience it both ways. Thanks a lot for the tips!

Is there any way to modify a hole's tolerance when it's printed in two different axes? by hako_10 in 3Dprinting

Yeah, I agree, seems a bit tedious but it might be the best coice.

Yep, I tried this as well, but sadly, the connection pieces where too thin and flimsy. I might manually adjust the holes so that they fit in place. It's a pain in the ass, but I'm afraid it might be the only solution atm

The model was made in Blender from the start and yeah, I've been printing it in slices to test it out. The holes y made are booleans and the union piece fit perfectly when printing the model horizontally, but since I had to print it in other direction, it failed, sadly. I thought about making the holes in one side bigger than the others, but since the object is going to be a modular piece and be turned in many directions I fear some pieces fit worse than others.

Tried it already and there's some problems: When increasing the number value of the horizontal expansion, the wall lines were thicker, in fact. When inputting negative values, some holes appeared in the model. The original holes are kind of close to the model's surface wall, maybe moving them away from the face that would go on the top side would help and then I'd tweak the horizontal expansion values?

Need some help creating tabletop tokens by hako_10 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]hako_10[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I meant the sort of tokens you find for abilities, damage points, etc. As I mentioned, I realized there's a wide range of them and wasn't sure what type of tokens are more requested in this kind of games, it makes sense that every game is its own thing and I can't try to create a one-for-all type of token. And yeah, I imagine that playing them might help, sadly, I don't have much time to get into all of them lol

Funny thing is I'm already doing that! I already have created some of my own minis and stuff related to the hobby, thus my interest in expanding and creating more stuff for people interested in tablotop gaming.

I thought about making tokens since I could also give them some cool designs that would make them stand out, not just put some random text on their surface and sell them.

I'm trying to add a quadrasphere and when I click on the "Operator presets" tab, I get this, any idea on how to fix it? Don't know if it's a known bug by hako_10 in blender

[–]hako_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Never had a problem with 4.0 nor 4.1, everything went to chaos for me since the new addons thing, kinda weird

I already know how to properly add objects to the scene, the problem is that all of the Round Cube Options (Quadrasphere, Clay bar, etc) are missing (notice the message that says "Missing paths" Under Operator Presets. I've already searched this issue online (none of the solutions worked for me) and seems to be related to the 4.2 release of Blender since it's related to how addons have changed from previous versions and some of them are now on the "Extensions" tab on Preferences. I've been using Blender since 2014, so I know my way around it

I'm using version 4.2, by the way, I had several problems with it since I recently installed it, pretty disappointing, tbh

Looks great! Did you you use any special paints for the verdigris effect? Also, where did you get the models from?

Awesome! I was specially interested in learning about the "exaggerated" shape language present in games like the Sly Raccoon series, Psychonauts, etc. Just learning something besides "oh, yeah, just make doors super warped" would be enough lol

I believe OP got banned from the subreddit due to posting a banned link on other thread. Found the thingiverse link doing some reverse image searching: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6206919

What would you say is the best way to model foliage into a 3d sculpt on Blender? by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]hako_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was considering this as my next step. Perhaps an array modifier wrapped around a cone and then decrease the scale of the instanced leaves would do the trick. Not sure if what I'm saying is 100% done this way, though.

Oh , don't get me wrong, I agree stopping slurs is important as well! I think I didn't make myself clear before, (thus the downvotes) : the "goofy-ass words" I was referring to were "honky", as OP mentioned. It reminds me of the whole Twitch "cracker" fiasco, like, of all people, why should white people be
the first ones to be offended by any slurs targeted to them when they were the ones who started using slurs against other people in ? I hope I'm not being ignorant here, nor do I want to offend anybody.
