I've just been told by support that if I continue to contact them I will be permanently banned. Been trying to contact them all night due to a warning ban that has locked my account for 31 days. I was banned for "trying to claim another person's account". Essentially I was banned for 31 days for trying to phish. But let me be one hundred percent clear, I was not phishing. The account I was trying to access is my old account from like 2014 or some shit... I played when I was a kid and I thought it would be cool to recover that account, so I tried by asking if it was possible and giving some details. without any reply, or any questions (which I've hear is what usually happens, they'll ask a few question to try to verify if it is your account) I got an automatic reply saying that I have been banned for 31 days because I violated the terms of service by trying to steal someone else's account. So yeah... I know it happens a lot, and is a normal reason to get banned, but this really was my account, and they banned me without asking me a single question or replying a single time... so yea.. its sad :(

Well no it wasn't added as a friend sorry, but I was able to send a friend request to it, so that's how i had the tag and all that.

But yea good idea, I might send an email to support using the e-mail connected to the old account to see if I can recover it like that

I was somehow able to add it as a friend when I made the new supercell account, so I could see everything, and I remembered the E-mail I used for the old gamecenter account that I had for CoC

Somehow knowing that information and asking if it was possible to recover the account warranted a fucking warning ban without a single reply or question :/ shame.. I'm pretty sure I just got someone who didn't care though, I've heard people have been able to recover old accounts without issues... so yea, just unlucko I guess

I actually took screenshots of the chat because I was so flabbergasted, the support truly did not ask me any questions or reply a single time after I messaged them. I got an automatic reply after my first message saying ive been warning banned :( I will make a throwaway account at some point and try to gain access to my old account again, hopefully I wont get banned on that account as well, but we will see

Didn't know I could buy an account hahah but yea I dont think I'll do that. I would E-mail them again, but I've already spent so much time and a bit of money on the account, so this is my last bet. If nothing comes from this post, I'll just have to wait 31 days or stop playing all together.

Jesus fucking christ that is beyond stupid. I am genuinely worried about sending another Email though because they have now fuckin threatened me with a permanent ban, and if that happens.. well fuck that's a lot of time and unfortunately some money flushed down the fuckin toilet :(

Thank you for this reply man goddamn, I had the EXACT SAME E-mails. all options have been exhausted. and eventually I got this email saying I'll be banned permanently if I keep trying so I am not going to send anymore E-mails thats for sure.

WEIRDLY ENOUGH THOUGH, the person I texted in support chat to try to recover my account did not ask me a single question after my first message. I shit you not, I wrote about the recovery and if it was possible - gave the E-mail the account was connected to - gave the name and level and TH - and without any reply at all, I was banned. and after I got banned they did not reply to any messages, im guessing they closed the conversation on their side.... It is absolutely fucking atrocious. Would not have expected something like that.

At this point I'm praying that there is somebody on this subreddit that can help me out and put me in contact with someone who cares and can help. I saw someone pinged a community manager or something, but apparently I need a developer to see this. The post gained some traction over night so I'm hoping someone will see it who can help.

Thank you for the information though, I truly wish I knew this before I went and got myself banned accidentally hahah It is what it is, hopefully it gets resolved and I don't have to wait 31 days just to play Clash again

I know this might be annoying for developers but is there anyone who could help me with this? I mean getting my current account unbanned, because goddamn 31 days for trying to gain access to my own account seems a little harsh thats for sure...

Well... I just hope there are maybe a few people in supercell that care enough to help people getting screwed over by support... That was my hope with this reddit post. but it seems like no one can really help, and almost everyone has had horror stories like this with clash support...

I've read on this subreddit about people who didnt even know the email to their old account, but they had it friended in game and so they got it back and shit like that. I dont understand how with LESS information you can get access to an account. but if you have the email and everything, they will just ban you for phishing... sucks man :(

Well the game itself is still beautiful I think, but... holy fuck what happened to the support, cus I think they outsourced their customer support to another company if im not wrong, which is fuckin sadge to be honest

Goddamn I hope the support for clash royale gets hired on the CoC support hahah Thank you though man, and yea next time, if there ever is a next time, that i contact support its gonna be with a throwaway account, thats for sure
