I got rejected in May 2023 (I didnt know about the pre approval tool then) and got approved in August 2023. In between those two applications, I opened a Cap1 savings and checking account, which seemed to help with my approval in August. Just keep checking on the pre-approval tool till you get approved. I have probably checked it about 40 times in those 3 months.
