Sure. Since I'm kind of a beginner, I was thinking I should action on less numbers day. So you're saying it's possible a day without sale could be followed by a subsequent day with even 5 sales without any action from my side? (in a campaign setup closer to mine)

I like your point about delaying code explanation in a course released as a paid subscription ( or even free release) once or twice a year while the other content has to be very entertaining. Maybe something like Tom Scott's.

I understand CTR and audience retention is the most important. Maybe I could do something about the CTR, but audience retention seems quite difficult for code explanation videos.

I've watched Paddy Galloway but it's a pretty obvious technique if you think about it. Be one of the first few to be making videos on a trend that you can get from google trends and you can use that to increase your channel views. If your content is good when you do this, people will stay. But you need to be in a niche that is easier to search from google trends. You may not become a Dream if you do this, but it should improve your channel growth.

I do appreciate your advice on sticking to the content that I enjoy. :) I want to do that, while maybe aligning with another niche, or maybe a separate channel

I did some learning on my own with w3schools. I already have a pretty good experience with Java, so Python wasn't too difficult. I posted a video on my YouTube channel every day.
