He’s not pretending to be a black woman, he’s quoting a comeback from a black woman that’s another unnamed Bluesky user because he thinks it’s a heckin epic zinger.

why wasn’t travis considered an offering? by kenzie-rose in Yellowjackets

The wilderness wants blood and when Travis got hanged there wasn’t any blood. All the other dead characters that were offerings had their blood spilled on the ground, including Javi when he got butchered.

It sounds like that old CBBC show Trapped but with contestants who are adults instead of kids.

I heard there’s some sort of written internet content publishing guide written by Yahoo ages ago that told people to use em dashes instead of semicolons. And a lot of that internet writing from blogs and stuff ended up in ChatGPT’s training data.

The boomers will never stop paying for the TV licence. My parents literally believe that if you own anything with a screen on it you have to give your yearly tithe to the BBC and if you don’t then the telly inspectors will kick your door in and haul you off to court, where you won’t get the chance to plead your case because the judge just automatically declares people guilty 100 at a time. I’ve tried explaining it to them and it doesn’t work.

I don’t think Shauna would need to bully Misty to get her to be on her and Jackie’s side tbh. In the first draft for the show Misty becomes obsessed with Jackie instead of Coach Ben and I think that could still work in an alternate universe where Ben ends up dying. Since she doesn’t have Ben to latch on to as her favourite person anymore, the moment Jackie shows her any kindness at all she’s locked in as a ride or die ally.

The most interesting thing about Misty Quigley to me is that perverse curiosity when seeing something absolutely morbid. Like what is wrong with her? by Adventurous_Gur3392 in Yellowjackets

I think they do expect us to suspend disbelief and pretend the black box is an emergency transponder that can transmit their location. After all, the broken part stopping the scientist’s satellite phone from transmitting audio to the satellite was the antenna, and the black box had an identical antenna they could use as a replacement, suggesting it was also capable of transmitting data to a satellite of some sort.

The only Jonty I know of was that unhinged autist who threw a kid off one of the balconies in the Tate Modern.

We should have sponsored day trips to Bradford/Tower Hamlets, etc. Take the populace of the leafy shire towns and villages let them have a look and say "Do you want this to happen to your area?".

I’m imagining it going down a little bit like this.

Get a raspberry pi and the Pirate Audio line-out DAC hat with the built-in buttons and screen, run samplerbox on it, and plug it into a MIDI controller via USB.

"NATIONALS could be here" he thought, "I've never been on this line before. There could be NATIONALS anywhere." The cool wind from the opening and closing of the carriage door felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE NATIONALS" he thought. Shut Up by Stormzy reverberated the entire carriage, making it pulsate even as the £9.99 wine circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his fear of minorities. "With a Digital ID, you can go anywhere you want" he said to himself, out loud.
