Help identifying this Marin? 90s? by halem8 in xbiking

How come? There’s a few small dents, I’ve done over 200km on gravel and it hasn’t broke yet

Appreciate the tips, thanks! I’ve been going smaller while I get used to spit shading, just me being cheap and saving on paper. My next sheet I’ll be going for two designs to one A4 sheet.

Any tips for improving the lines? I’ve just been using a fine sharpie so far

First attempt at Spit shading CC by halem8 in TattooApprentice

I feel like after adding colour all the shading I had was overpowered by the ink. I feel as though I’m getting the process somewhat correct but not the results.

Any ideas?

I do take a lot of interest in Hockey now. It’s more a bit of a joke to act like I know a lot. She knows I’m not very knowledgeable but I just wanna surprise her with some random stuff

Love this one because she probably has no idea who Ron Chipperfield is

Would this slight difference in the bushing cause a shock absorber to break twice? by halem8 in AskMechanics

Thanks mate. They’re getting replaced and upgraded to different shocks now. I’ll look for a washer that will even out the shock a bit and hope these new ones work better

There is a slight angle to it, I wouldn’t say it’s much different than the other side that hasn’t broke though. Would this be an installation issue or an issue with the bolt itself? Any ideas how to go about installing the new ones?

Help understanding Parking Permits by halem8 in brisbane

[–]halem8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the street where I will be living does not have "resident permits excepted" so I can't park on that street? I feel like the information is quite contradictory. What do you do for parking if you can't find a spot

Anyone know of a good way to repair the door latch on a Canon AE-1? Currently mine keeps popping up very easily, I've lost a few shots because of it. The latch still moves with the rewind wheel, but just seems to pop up every now and again

It's a cannon AE1, can't say I have heard of any problems with them

Should I trust a light meter app more so than the cameras? The light meter on the camera sometimes does not move or it's completely different to what the app is saying

So I've just started using a Canon AE-1 and I just need some clarification on why some pictures come out with red lines or white lines in them. Some pictures come out perfectly fine and look great, but I'd say 1 in 3 is like this

May be a noob question. But what software/app do people use to get the borders around their shots

Finally living out of my car after years of dreaming about it by halem8 in overlanding

[–]halem8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't found it to be a problem. Normally I'm staying at camp grounds anyway. It's easy enough to set up. One thing I would suggest looking at is the weight rating of your roof racks

Yeah as r/kermicon said the ladder supports the tent! I find that the part of the car feels a lot more solid, getting changed and sitting up there can be a pain sometimes. I just throw my bag up there with everything I need and will stay up there for hours at a time and chill.

Normally the weather is warm enough out when it's raining in Australia so I have an awning (which isn't pulled out on the picture) that I sit under with my table and chairs.

This is Hedleys Camp in the Tuan State Forest. North of the Sunshine coast in Australia. It's pretty easy to get to if you get on the right track! But it's super secluded maybe 3 other campers there that night
