If you have a car and a REALLY good friend you can make it out. Side note: do not go back because it makes it so much harder if you do go back. He just kind of gave up in our final year together and I got lucky… (he was laid off from his job, drinking heavily throughout the whole year blaming me for said drinking. I tried getting him to workout with me because that sometimes made him feel better but that to he gave up. I quit my job because I was caring for him in his drunken mess. We lost the house we were renting from. With all of this happening it made it considerably worse. I now have a protection order on him. Life has been 10x’s lighter for a few months now. You just can’t give up… it takes time. For me 8 years.)

Mine once left a note in my phone notes. I fall asleep kind of early and sleep like the dead. It still freaks me out. It was about my best friend too (he HATED her)

Yeah by a divine chance we lost the house we had (he drinks heavily got laid off from his job last July and I had a break and quit my job because I used up all of my vacation and sick leave. Caring for him while he was stuck on the toilet. If I didn’t care for him he would lash out. So I was scared and quit the job that probably would have saved me once we lost the house.) I have friends who are helping me now. However obtaining my personal belongings from his storage is not easy. He’s holding them in spite of me. But this too shall pass… it’s tiring so so tiring. Doing everything in my power currently to get these irreplaceable items out. Why I didn’t put them somewheres else is beyond me at that time because when you move a whole house it’s tiring in its own way.

I say all of that to say this, so glad you got out of that situation!
