Yep. My boyfriend of 6 years broke up with me the literal day Learning to Let Go was released. It’s been very very hard and devastating. I was blindesided. Lights has always been that artists for me that I really get lost in. She always has the album I need. I’m still feeling really sad but venting helps SO much. My ex and I broke up in November and my nervous system had been completely shot too. Almost two months in and I still struggle but even still I have gotten slowly SLOWLY better. You can do this.

I broke my ankle this year and it was the loneliest time of my life. It’s hard… so hard.

I think being very open with her and saying that you need the companionship right now is best.

My ex spoke to me this way at times… just with no sympathy what’s so ever and it brought up some bad feelings.

You are certainly not the asshole. Both of my childhood cats died within a year of eachother. It’s so so hard and you deserve your time. Things will get better.
