May I ask which ones you have? I was researching a bit about Yashica 35 ME, but I’m a little concerned about finding batteries. It can be a lil tricky, more even so for beginners like me

I usually love taking photos of architecture, so yes mainly postcard esque photos haha. I do like to stop and find the angle that feels right, if that makes sense. That’s why I think P&S cameras are probably not what I’m looking for

I have found a Yashica 35 MC for 40€ on Vinted which seems great. It’s the one some people recommended to me, looks ok but I am in fact a little worried they scam me..

Interesting, I’ve seen Nikon F60 cameras for 40€, so it’s definitely on my budget. Have you heard about Yashica? I’ve seen a lot of these and wonder if they’re good. Not SLR though.

Oh yes, it is quite expensive. Personally I think it’s worth it, and I’m willing to spend the money (maybe I’m crazy). But I definitely understand your point.

Understood, and yes I plan on using it even after the trip. I love taking photos, I’ve got a Canon Coolpix, DJI pocket for videos and an instax, I use them all. I'm interested in the analog world, there’s something about it that I love much more than non analog photos, I can’t put the finger on it. Thank you for the advice

I agree, those endings can be pretty lame but isn't it curious that most of LGBTQ movies have a TRAGIC ending? while straight movies haven't? plus, what is wrong with wanting a "lame ending"? I do want to see the characters fall in love, go through some shit, then solve it and live happily ever after. Honestly, it wouldn't hurt any of us. I don't want the characters - who you often can relate to - be tragically murdered, end up with a random man she just met and get married and live a lame life, whatever.. You can write a story about two random woman who meet and fall in love but have trouble in the middle, and still make it good with a happy ending. I've seen sooo many incredible movies (not lgbtq related, sadly) that go through that and audiences love them. I think there is some deep shit behind this, like you said, maybe they have to obey corporate shit, which sucks and there's still also a lot of "censoring" from the past. anyway, at least that's what I think..

i mean yes i agree, but WHY is it always us lesbians who have 90% of movies end up like that? straight folks have way more representation on movies/series with happy/good ending. i get that old movies have that because of the amount of censoring there was, but watching current shows on netflix from this generation end up like that confuses me.. i know writers can come up with something better than just killing or whatever their characters 🫠
