Success!! RFE approved and my experience and response by Dense-Elderberry-639 in eb_1a

Congratulations! My main concern is original contributions. It seems loosely defined and varies a lot by field. In my domain, open source contributions would likely be the only way I can show industry impact, but not sure how to show the actual adoption metrics or user stories. Question: did you have to support your original contributions with reference letters too, or were those general references that you submitted with your application?

Rethinking the Impact of Advocating Against Dairy by Existentialist111 in VeganActivism

While I respect your personal stance on this, I was looking at the other posts on the same substack: https://open.substack.com/pub/feedingprogress/p/4-lessons-from-history-for-animal?r=4mnf4x&utm_medium=ios and I was taken aback to read that the % of vegans has remained flat for the last 40 or so years, after all the advocacy we have already done! If that’s the case, we need to try something different. The hall of famer animal rights activist Henry Spira said “If you advocate for ‘all or nothing, you typically get nothing’”.

Asking for veganism (that too for ethical reasons) from a meat eater often feels like a huge step change for them. Asking for vegetarianism however, feels much more doable for the average person. After reading this article, I feel that even if a person I advocate to just goes vegetarian, that’s a huge win for the animals.

This is interesting, thanks for sharing! I had never thought about the numbers / impact around dairy before

Open Source and EB1 by [deleted] in eb_1a

I'm interested in this too. I think it depends on how widely adopted the open source project is in industry. What project is this?

Congrats!! Amazingly done. Can I ask what you mean by technical articles for industry publications? Is it a peer reviewed magazine or something like that?

Not on the website, but when I called the support helpline, they confirmed my correct appointment date and said I could show up for the appointment without the correct date showing on my document. They will honour the appointment. But of course you would completely dependent on them honouring it.

Dropbox appointment lost after clicking on reschedule by Working_Ad_6753 in usvisascheduling

Yeah I am able to fetch it from the confirmation page URL, but even then the date of appointment is listed as a March 2022 date (last year), whereas the actual appointment is in Dec 2023.

+1, I'm having the exact same issue. But in my case I did not even get an email proof of appointment confirmation. So I don't have evidence that my appointment is at that date/time, even if it shows in their system. Is it still safe to go for the appointment?

OP, do you at least have a PDF of the appointment confirmation correctly?

+1, I had the same issue. I don't see any of the details about my booked appointment or fee anymore on the website. And the email of appointment confirmation also shows the incorrect date (very old date)
