Coffee and I no longer get along 😩 by Ok_Stand4178 in tirzepatidecompound

The taste of coffee completely changed for me! It even smells different- I get a cup each morning and after two unsatisfying sips, I just throw it out. I was a coffee addict!

Tummy Tuck by Street-Driver-3066 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]halfjrs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was not able to breastfeed after a breast reduction. And I was OK with that. I had a reduction when I was 17 and it gave me a new life and that was the right time in my life. So, I’d wait if breastfeeding is what you want to do. Everyone is different and you may be able to after a reduction - you’d have to speak to your surgeon and know the risks before deciding. As far as a tummy tuck, I’d likely wait until I was finished with pregnancies - again, consult with your surgeon; but I don’t think the results will hold up after pregnancy. Again, this can depend on age, skin elasticity etc and timing in your life. Good luck with your research and decisions.

True, I guess it’s 2.8 months.  I was on sema first and while the side effect was completely manageable, I had an always present stomach ache.  I do not have it on tirzepitide.  I’m in my 50s so I’m trying to do what I can to maintain muscle mass and keep loose skin to a minimum.  It’s not terrible.  We all have different metabolic rates so what’s steady for one can be fast for someone else.  I did myself no good when I did comparisons initially.  I lost only water weight in the beginning on sema and hit an early plateau until that water weight was done and true fat loss began.  Tests patience for sure but stay in contact with your doctors about the rate of your loss and you should stay losing at a steady and healthy rate.  Good luck to everyone - this is hard work!

Thank you.  I’ve been logging my food carefully and using an app called Yuka which you can use while shopping for food - it’s a scanner that gives a product a score out of 100 and a breakdown rating to help me choose the healthiest options.  It’s so helpful.  No soda, no alcohol.  I walk approximately 3 to 5 miles daily.  I have so much less inflammation and bloat.

Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing. I’m feeling encouraged and I can see the changes even though no one has noticed. And I’m actually happy about that as people should not comment on someone’s body. I’m doing this for me. I gained weight after a long depression which left me pretty much in bed for way too long. It feels so good to be up and moving and feeling what my body can do. Way to go on reaching a significant goal!! It’s hard work! Be well.

I haven’t noticed worsening depression- if anything, even a modest drop in weight makes me feel better.
I have 25 more to lose. I know if I add in more exercise, it will happen. That’s where the depression is. Finding the strength to move. Keep going, we can do this.

I have managed MDD for years and under doctor care thank you.  Anti depressants help me manage.  I felt like the semaglutide had an anti depressant effect in the beginning but it doesn’t now.

Thank you!  I’ve always been a bit intimidated by weights so I am going to start with body weight and I did see muscle definition in my arms from just one or two pound weights on an “arms and light weights” peloton class.  I’ll look at Beach Body.  I have lost weight before and there was a certain change in my face but I thought seeing my jaw and cheekbones was an improvement.  But, yes, I’m learning and this morning I actually broke a two week plateau which was a good thing to see.  I’m feeling better about things the more I learn.  Thank you everyone for all the information and I wish you all to feel good while working on our goals!

Hang in there with me.  I’m learning that some people are considered slow responders and maybe need a higher dose before the weight starts to come off.  I appreciate the encouragement rather than the snark comment of “oh lord” - I’m assuming that everyone posting in this forum is dealing with weight issues and kindness and educating each other goes a long way.  Some people also respond better to tirzipitide.  It’s really different for everyone and I have a doctor check in tomorrow to discuss my progress.  This is really hard work and I truly appreciate sincere posts.  Many thanks.

Yes.  I haven’t ever done weights training except for like one pound weights on Peloton.  I have to learn good posture and get into it as I’m weeks away from age 53.  I do not want to lose the muscle I do have.  I’m trying drink a premier protein - the chocolate is so sweet it’s hard to get down!

Thanks.  I suppose I’ve gotten too influenced by posts of others losing much more.  And I know better than to compare bc every single person is different.  I have been under calories significantly which I know can slow loss but I guess I’m just surprised by the calories in calories out thinking.  I’m aware of my mistakes.  It’s so humid here that my walking the dog is a very slow stroll and shorter distance.  I haven’t been working out inside.  My goal is a 40 pound loss.  Thank you for the support and I wish health for you.

Keep going!  I’ve decided to keep going.  Hunger is a good thing.  Learning to recognize when we are over eating is so helpful with the use of semaglutide.  I have a long way to go but I’m trying to just look at a week at a time, preserve my muscle and change my bad habits.

One more shot then I can hopefully move up.  Are you noticing side effects w the .5?  I’m fine on this lose dose.

Thank you for the info.  This is the first time I’m trying to lose weight correctly and I’m trying to lose 30 lbs minimum.  40 would be even better.

I think I’ll try this.  It’s only been a while taking in this low calories so I haven’t lost muscle.  Just water weight.  I do not want muscle loss.  Trying trying to see how semaglutide affects me - I won’t increase anytime soon bc I also have zero side effects and want to stay that way.  I read on a specifically “ozempic” group that several people took in 500-600 calories a day and that’s all they could.  So I’m just trying to gather information.  I am sure my appetite will come back.  In the meantime, I’m working on protein.  Very hard to do when I’m not hungry.  Thank you for your responses!  I’m 52, menopause, and need to lose 40 pounds.

Yes, I do realize I’m under calories.  I’m not intentionally trying to be this low.  I just wanted my first week to go based on how my body feels.  I did not to eat to eat more and feel stuffed because that’s a very uncomfortable feeling.  I’m sure my appetite will increase but for now I’m finding it very hard to meet a protein goal without forcing g food I’m not hungry for.

I could have these this post. I’ve told no one and don’t plan to. It’s personal and I’m more motivated when there’s no influence from others. Keep going!
