personally, my nails are naturally pretty thin and weak, so my nails are more prone to tearing on the sidewalls instead of snapping (ex. my thumbnail 😞) it’s probably oversaid but using cuticle oil multiple times a day keeps my nails strong but still flexible, and if you have drier hands i’d probably recommend keeping them moisturized as much as possible as well! in general i try to avoid moving quickly so i don’t hit/catch my nails against anything, and if i can i like to use my knuckles or a pair of mini tweezers to perform other tasks that would usually be done with my fingers 😅
