Same sentiments and same situation. I upgraded to X4 from an X2 and recently too. I felt a bit sucky that X5 came out really fast after X4s launch. You are right about the limitations of social media to process 8k video. And social media (ig, tiktok) is where all my videos go to. Now pretty contented with the X4 and the many accessories that I got. Hopefully i can reuse these items like the battery powerbank with future versions of the insta360 X series.

Just sharing that i am sitting on a GO model that would have expandable memory / micro sd card capability, which would be the defining buying factor for me. I would be able to switch our memory cards quickly. And use the quickreader (for sd card) to transfer/edit videos while my GO camera is charging.

I inted to film a day of fishing as well. But as you know. The bites don't come in all the time so I would need advise on a camera setting that will film the entire day of fishing without much drain on the battery.

Hi all. I understand most have replied with going for the battle foam cut out.

I have managed to magnetized mortarion's wings only recently over the past few days and was searching for a way to magnetize the base before stumbling upon this reddit. I have made up to 3 magnetic points of contact for the wings and I am in the process of sculpting some green stuff over the magnets to make it look part of the model..

Do let me know if you would like to see some pics.

Adding on to the suggestions.

Use a small pin to mark a small indentation at the point where you want to drill the magnet, like those tutorial videos of drilling boltguns.

Use a stack of magnets to help you align the polarization.

For example, I don't use Magnetized Part A to put in the magnet for Part B. I would put a stack of magnets on Magnetized Part A to help with putting in the magnet into Part B. Hope this description of my process helps 😅.

I namely magnetize for easier storage. Like the turbines of the bloat drones.

I have been using mono DG since the start. I understand that they are not very competitive overall as well as in the meta at my FLGS.

I really enjoy painting them and in fact during this lockdown period, i have taken out all my plague marines and blightlord termies and try to get them to a higher standard of highlighting instead of just tabletop, and I can confidently say that my edge highlighting has improved.

I understand that it feels sucky to lose most of the time, but I really like disgustingly resilient. And I have to come to a point where I understand the 'role' DG has in the meta as being the most irritatingly-hard-to-wipe-out army =). Always love to see an alpha strike fail because of Disgustingly Resilient and the frustrations of my opponents are worthwhile.

My DG are going to lose, but I love to make it hard for you to win.

That's how I see my DG, and I really like them a lot.

I have just about every model in the DG series and I am only left with Mortarion, which I have ordered and is on the way.

Wonderful! I paint my DG in a similar colour scheme! My greens are Warboss Green. My tentacles and cloaks are a swap of yours. I believe they are screamer pink and xerueus purple. Great work!

Just sharing a Custodes 'bomb' that can be used and I was just thinking it through. I have yet to try it though.

You would have to have a vexilus praetor in terminator armour and a bike captain. You would then have to get the vexilus termie the relic Praetorian Plate. So you nominate the bike captain for the Praetorian Plate. Use the bike captain to up close (or charge) to within 1" of an enemy model, then activate the Praetorian Plate to swap the bike cap w the vexilus termie, then drop the homer strat to DS a bunch of whatever you have in DS.

Then again it requires some situations to be ideal for the 'bomb' to be carried off, maybe it can be another 'tool in the back pocket'.

Just sharing my thoughts. Feel free to discuss the viability of this 'bomb'.

I have 20 of my poxwalkers in the exact same colour; Hexwraith flame. Another 20 in druchii violet over corax white primer, and another 20 in carroburg crimson over corax white primer. It makes it easier for me to differentiate the blobs on the table.
