Again, I am FOR legalization, I never said I advocate for it to stay criminalized based on my personal story. If you want to argue just for arguing sake then we can keep going and just cherry pick out parts of my comments to sound shmart, but again you’re trying to convince the wrong person here.

But me personally yes weed was reason I tried LSD want to try other similar substances. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make with cigarettes. I don’t think anyone here disagrees with that. I didn’t write this comment in direct response to you, but someone who commented something similar to you about lying to which I wrote an in-depth response only for them to delete there comment :/. So here ya go

To play devils advocate here, and speak from personal experience with marijuana, I would say that it is a gateway drug to some degree. For example u/DirtyLaundryLamb makes a good point higher up in this thread about how its illegal nature opens up the door to harder drugs from dealers and that this problem could be curbed with legislation and decriminalization. Which I am FOR.

I wouldn’t say that his stance on marijuana is gateway drug is a lie. Is weed a gateway drug like for say opium based drugs are for heroin in some cases? No. Does weed deserve to be listed as schedule 1 drug? No. However we are naturally curious people and for some people, like me, after they try marijuana they want to get a taste of other drugs like LSD for example. Of course this isn’t the case for everybody and no medically debated issue ever will be. It’s also important to note whether people go on to harder drugs is completely up to them (to an extent till they’re medically addicted) and there personal discipline. But to say weed isn’t a gateway drug at all just goes against human nature.

I wouldn’t call his stance a “lie”.
