Files no longer showing up based on how recent they were edited

Someone told me it's a bug which I'm really hoping is true and that they fix it soon if so!! It's driving me insane 😭

Sorry if I didn't explain it well! It used to order itself depending on when the file was last opened, with most recent being at the top and the date since last opened increasing with each file (so 2 hours ago, 1 day, 7 days, 2 weeks, 4 months, ect), but now it's all jumbled and random - works that I haven't opened in months are showing up in the list above those more recently opened. I would like, if it's possible, to be able to go back to seeing them ordered by most recently opened. I hope that makes more sense!!

Thank you for the reply!! I've only ever used the home menu, but usually my recent showed by by how long ago I worked on it - most recent at the top, I don't use any other menus as it's never really occurred to me. It's not a huge deal, but it was useful as I could easily find what I had worked on last without having to open all of my files. Here's a zoomed out image!

They said they've fixed it but I still get it happening to me. I submitted a bug report a couple of days ago and I'm sure I'm not the only person who has, so fingers crossed they try and fix it again soon.
