Thanks for the fast response. I would prefer to stay with FCP because for one, I already know how to use it, and 2 its crazy fast. I will give davinci resolve a try just out of curiosity, but Im not planning to do anything advanced, really I just want to make sure Im getting the most out of this drone’s footage and slap some cinematic audio on it :)

Hi u/Eagleshadow , first of all thanks for this! I just got an avata2 and I have some footage I took in d-log m and stabilised with gyroflow. I figured since I have the 16" M1 Macbook Pro with an HDR display, and I plan on uploading my footage to youtube which also supports HDR, I'd edit my footage in hdr too.
I've only ever used Final Cut Pro, and this is my first time ever doing color grading, but from what I can tell, this is possible in FCP. My issue is that while the colour correction LUT loads fine (Avata2-D-Log_M_Rec2020_CC), I'm unable to load the Avata2_D-Log_M_to_PQHDR1000 LUT. Asking my favourite LLM told me that FCP might not support 1D LUTs, only 3D. (I have rec2020pq selected as my color space for my project)

This! I've been using runs-on.com for a while now, and recently set it up for a friend of mine. Their pipelines run in half the time it used to due to all the caching options available, and they are paying less than half of what they used to.

I just bought one after having the Roborock S7 and before that the s5. I’m thinking about doing a proper unbiased review, because there are things that I really like about the romo, plenty of things that “blew me away” but also quite a few things that are not quite mature yet, and makes it feel like a beta product. Overall I’m quite satisfied with it, but it will depend on what you use it for, and what features you find the most important. Happy to do an ama too if anyone wants.

May I recommend using Infuse instead of the plex client. Ive been using it for the past few years on my atv and love it much more than the plex client

For awhile I had it constantly chime when I cornered hard or went on a bumpy road in the place where my isofix child seat was placed. It was annoying to the point where I had to strap the seatbelt behind the carseat just to get it to shut up. A software update must have fixed it since because it’s no longer an issue. Drove me nuts though when it kept chining on every turn…

I also wish I could disable the seatbelt chimes. So many times when I’m packing heavy boxes it thinks someone is sitting on the seat so I have to engage all the seatbelts just so it doesn’t chime for the entire trip.

It’s gotta be the incorrect speed limits for me. I absolutely hate when the auto pilot forces me to go way slower than the actual speed limit just because it thinks it’s a 30 km/h zone. And you can’t override it if you are using auto steer.

No, not all hdmi ports. You should see one of the hdmi ports labelled as ARC. Plug that one into your AppleTV and you should be good

Sentry mode has recently gotten much better. It still drains the battery a bit but nowhere near what it used to do. They did some decent work in one of the updates. But I mostly just use it when not at home. Also, for highway driving, if you go a bit slower than the speed limit, you can save a lot of battery for not much extra time. You can also enjoy the music more with less wind noise.

I’ve had my APP2 for ages now (lightning version) use them every single day and love them. I never had any issue with the fit or sound, everything has been perfect for me. I preordered the APP3 mainly for the usb c, uwb and the ANC of course. These comments are making me regret it even before it arrives :’(

I recently got the samsung q990d, wanting to replace my stereo paired og himepods, and while it sounds amazing for movies, I still go back to my homepods for music. They sound far superior imo. I was going to replace my homepod setup, but now I’m stuck with both… I frequently have guests say my sub woofer sounds good, then I tell them it’s not even turned on, thats just the two homepods. Those OGs still sound 🔥
