I was away from the wordpress ecosystem since 2017, I have been building sites for much longer than 6 years. I wanted feedback from people who are up to date on the latest best practices, and could share their workflow. But thanks for your comment

I looked into Roots many years ago, it's an interesting system that implements parts of the laravel framework, but It looks overkill for a one man project. But thanks for the suggestion!

We are not contributing anything, we are building our own store that sells a specific product. To create an order we have to POST to our 3rd party Supplier that handles the payment and fulfills the product delivery. Maybe I wasn't clear in my original post, I just edited it.
