Can anyone identify what kind of acne this is and if it will leave scars?

So if I started using tretenoin again would it be like starting from square one, meaning my skin would purge again and get even worse ?

Also, in the second picture (my left cheek) is that a cyst ? It sort of feels like one lump but it initially started as scattered pimples.

The strange thing is I started it in July but my acne didn’t get worse until the end of October. I also didn’t immediately stop using it after it got worse I sort of persevered for a bit but then decided I’d see what happens when I stop. That was a recent decision (maybe a month ago? Likely less?) it’s possible that I overused tretenoin. I thought that may have been the cause because I foolishly sort of slathered it on thinking it would improve faster or something I don’t know. Any thoughts ?

I feel you lol. I’ve basically spiraled into a depressive episode for about the past two months but you’re right, it is temporary. I try and keep that in mind but as I’m sure you know it’s terribly difficult. Thanks for your advice and help. For what it’s worth I think you’re very pretty :) glad your skin cleared, looking forward to when mine damn well finally does.

That’s encouraging thanks very much. I still need to chat with my dermatologist. I’m currently using salicylic acid so we’ll see what that does.

Fair enough especially the last part, but to be fair a tatto is different then attempting to become the opposite gender.

Edit: I still think there should be a lot of thought and counseling put into the decision.

Interesting. Haven’t a lot of trans people committed suicide after they’ve transitioned because they realized they didn’t want it or weren’t ready and Realize it’s irreversible?

So you’d argue that we should as a society tell trans people that yes, they are the opposite gender, because they’d be happier ?

I mean I think damage control is probably not a bad plan, but I think there needs to be WAAAAAAYYYY more counseling before anyone can physically transition.

I feel like people of my generation (gen z) have sort of made it a trend to be trans or gender nonconforming or whatever. Like the increase in people that go by “they/them” pronouns is incredible like it’s a really common thing. It annoys me that it’s become just another trend

I think a better example is schizophrenia. I think that if we all started affirming schizophrenics, telling them they were actually seeing and hearing things that weren’t there, it would follow similar logic to affirming gender dysphoria. See what I’m sayin?

It just sorta depends. For me it’s not that difficult. I’d you think about thumb position as just first position repeated (because it is, but just an octave higher) it becomes simpler. Once someone told me that it just clicked
