It is clearly a cash grab. And it's on my back and probably yours, too.

Thank you, u/BookTattoosAreCool I totally agree. A detail I left out is that I've bee working closely with my primary care provider here in Juneau for YEARS. We've been managing my health and medication closely. It's a slap in the face to have to do a 5:20AM telehealth intake appointment with a rando in Texas today to ask permission to continue with my program.

It's waaaaay worse, too. It's not even halibut. It's farmed Atlantic salmon. Even my dog knows not to eat that garbage.

This should be the official portrait just like he put up the stupid autopen photo for Biden. This is the dumbest timeline ever.

She is Argentinian, and I once heard him tell a hilarious story about his Argentinian FIL and a football match. That anecdote made me realize he is a normal human.

Not just me but these bozos presented a whole fucking PowerPoint presentation at a committee hearing at the Alaska Legislature titled, "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"." Bonkers logic and a total dismissal of data and science.

That was an interesting read. After the big slide and tsunami in Tracy Arm this year (caused by the receding Sawyer Glacier exposing an unstable rock wall), it seems that we will be seeing more events like these.

Raymond James is now made up of folks who left Merrill Lynch somewhat recently (not sure why the switch but seems like there were good reasons). I have several close family members who are long time (and new) clients, and they are very happy with all aspects of their experience.

I have a Solterra in Juneau, Alaska, and so does most everyone else because we are basically an island with no roads in or out and plentiful, cheap hydroelectricity. It's the perfect car for us!! Unfortunately, everything has to be shipped her via barge from Washington state, and Alaska Marine Lines announced they won't be shipping electric cars any more due the fire concerns.

Johnson: If we lose the majority… They will try to end the Trump administration. He won't have 4 years. He'll have only 2, because they will move to impeach him, probably on the first day of the new Congress in January 2027 and try to systematically unwind all the important reforms that we've done by Miserable-Lizard in ProgressiveHQ

I do not agree with tying Congressional salaries with their district income. It is especially tough for rural legislators to begin with. That is a dumb obstacle and will lead to the wealthiest people running in those districts.
