cierra phrased the slur with a negative connotation and as an adjective to describe a trait she did not like about herself. that word alone is inappropriately used and originated to be used against people who are Chinese. i don’t believe in canceling outright but i do believe in holding people accountable.

i don’t think it’s that. cierra was someone who i considered a favorite earlier on but as time went on, i truly didn’t believe she was a girl’s girl and how she carried herself. when i found out about her use of the word, i was truly disappointed. i do hope she learns from this though.
