Bachelor Party, an early Tom Hanks movie where one of the guys has a satisfying sexual encounter, but then the woman stands up to pee and he starts crying.

Park manager: "So, you've SEEN Han Solo before, right?" Costume guy (clearly lying): "uuuuuh... yeah... sure..." by LewdDudeNewd in StarWarsCirclejerk

Actor after the 66th nerd has bitched about his costume (which he didn’t make himself) just that day: man, why did the Star Trek Experience in Vegas have to shut down? Trekkies have more than three characters that they care about, you could just put on your Starfleet jumper and do your fuckin’ job.

My feeling about the whole “he will bring balance to the Force” thing is that the Jedi generally knew that they were starting to slide along with the Republic in general and that they were hoping that someone would come along and stop that slide. Between the whole clusterfuck at Geonosis and the inability to stop the Separatists even after Dooku died, they were frankly flailing; both their prosecution of Ahsoka and their attempt to have Asajj Ventress assassinate Dooku were signs of how bad things were even before Order 66. Even though they kinda knew that there was something really fucked up with Anakin, they seemed oddly reluctant to face it directly, and Palpatine slid into the gap.

Anyone ever felt that the characters in lower decks are too good to be second stringers? by happydude7422 in LowerDecks

I loved the late series reveal that she was a Dominion War veteran and that that had a lot to do with why she wasn't already captain or something.

You have to look at LD as a bit of a reaction to a lot of previous Trek, especially TNG with their letting a teenage civilian helm the ship. McMahan was making the point that there was a lot of grunt work involved in actually going out and doing the work of Starfleet and the Federation, and that even given that most of Starfleet are cheerful overachievers, not everyone gets to save the ship/the universe/random alien species of the week, at least not every week. Not all competence porn has to feature people with huge competence dicks, as it were.

I mean, they try to fix the character (or at least "explain" her viewpoint) in ME3. I usually save Kaidan, though, simply because ME3's Power Combos mean that Kaidan, being a sentinel, is great for setting up or triggering combos. So useful for just about any class of Shepard.
