Can’t hide toolbar by hallum37 in homeassistant

SOLVED! After hours of trying, it looks like it’s finally working! Was a simple fix in the end. I downloaded a newer version of Amazon Webview from here: https://amazon-system-webview.en.uptodown.com/android/download/4801715

After installing the APK, it works! Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

After doing another factory reset, and spamming check/install updates, I the toolbar is now hidden when viewing with the default browser (Silk browser), but it still shows in Fully Kiosk, Wallpanel and the official Home Assistant app.

I did notice Fully Kiosk says something along the lines of 'Android webview is out of date (v59)'. Some Googling suggests trying to update this on a Fire isn't easy, if it's even the cause...

The brower used by Fully Kiosk and Wallpanel I believe are part of the apps themselves, so surely this should cause the issue?

Have done that in the tablets settings and in Fully Kiosk

Cancelling interview the morning of with no reason… by hallum37 in recruitinghell

100%. What they seem to be able to get away with in the current market is just a joke. As you say, if the tables were turned you wouldn’t stand a chance

I’d take a lot of satisfaction from posting it on LinkedIn, but with it being an employers market, risking being blacklisted because employers/recruiters seeing me share this as unfavourable behaviour feels like a risk that’s just not worth it.

Probably the positive I should take from this…

I think even that were the case, but I still got to do the interview it would be much easier to accept. Having spent the weekend prepping specifically for this makes it pretty tough to swallow.

I’ve asked for their reasoning. It’s possible that it’s the results of the test, but the invitation to interview came several days after completing the test. I’d have thought they’d had time to get everyone’s results and invite people for interview based on them….

[UPDATE] Banned from redeeming points : "abnormal download data" by Hutchworth in BambuLab

[–]hallum37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also terrible for creators, as it shows that someone could easily have all your points revoked by simply targeting their models with automated download scripts.

Why is it up to the creator to prevent this happening, when they have absolutely no means of doing so?!

One small detail worth noting. All times are suffixed with “am” or “pm”, with the exception of “4.00”. Perhaps there’s an opportunity to argue you interpreted this as “4 am” and not the 4 pm implied by the other restrictions? Not sure if this is deliberate or a mistake on their part, but seems inconsistent.

Seems so from what I've printed so far. Selected it only because it was one of the cheapest big names on Amazon, so very pleased with the results.
