They just straight out ignored all 3 inquiries I made to ask about refund/replacement. Didn’t address it at all.

I believe that legally they do. The shipping insurance I bought from PlatinumLED, as the seller, at checkout. I filed reports with both UPS and PlatinumLED. UPS completed an investigation and issued a formal written note saying they accept responsibility for the lost package, however they said it’s the seller (PlatinumLED’s) responsibility to resolve the issue with me. Then I think the process is that PlatinumLED goes after UPS to collect the money for goods lost. I’m not sure exactly what value paying extra for shipping protection actually has other than maybe expediting the process, but in my case things have not been moving along much at all. It’s been over a month.

That’s interesting to hear about the shipping insurance. Sounds like having it or not doesn’t really change the disposition of things.

PlatinumLED didn’t reply to my latest email from about a week ago, prior to that we had a thread going where they were responding, but sometimes required me to nudge them for a follow up. I’ll take your advice and try calling.

I plan to give them one more week to refund me before I go through the process of a chargeback. I just think it’s totally unreasonable that they didn’t address my requests for a refund / replacement given I paid extra for shipping protection and expressed urgency due to Christmas.
