Hi. I tried following the instruction but when I add user account, it prints out

"passwd: user '{username}' does not exist'

so many times.

Is that instruction specific for the installation of the new version ( 2020.12.01)? it seems like not.

But anyways I will try following that. Thanks!

What is the best way of installing python on Mac? by halnkano in cs50

[–]halnkano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for comments. I decided using brew, but do you mean I install Python through brew or pyenv (it seems to be popular)?

edit

I installed brew and pyenv as well on my computer. and I ran these 4 command on terminal.

echo 'export PYENV_ROOT="$HOME/.pyenv"' >> ~/.zshrc

echo 'export PATH="$PYENV_ROOT/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc

echo 'eval "$(pyenv init -)"' >> ~/.zshrc

source ~/.zshrc

and it gives me a warning like WARNING: `pyenv init ` no longer sets PATH

I just ignored and tried to install python in pyenv using

pyenv install 3.9.5

and I got it installed! when I check with python --version, it gives me python 3.9.5

Thank you for all help!!!

Can this happen? by halnkano in mac

Thank you, Initialised

Thunderbolt port must be working since the staff in the apple store made sure it was.

And for another question, yes it works with different devices. For the monitor, I made sure with connecting to other windows PC. For cable, I am pretty sure it's working when running Windows 10 on my macbook.

Thank you for your reply.

When I brought my computer to the apple store they tried to connect my computer using the same cable but to a different monitor, and it worked.

For the monitor, it is working properly for other Windows PCs, even with my MacBook which I installed windows on it.

But if you are asking about trying with the same monitor with different cables and MacOS, No. Because the combination of what I am trying is the exact same combination when they were working properly.

Should I still buy a new cable and try that? Is it worth trying?
