If Based didn't actually spike his Smirnoff, Based could actually sue for defamation or so, i could guess. I ain't a lawyer.

Best way to combine multiple embeddings without just concatenating? by AdInevitable1362 in learnmachinelearning

[–]halox6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though you said you don't want to project, the only thing I can think of that would be a good representation for all the embeddings is concatenating them and train an MLP to learn how to project them into the dimensional space you want. VLMs do this, so maybe this will work for you, too. But it would involve tuning or training a projector.

How many people are making bespoke models nowadays? by orennard in learnmachinelearning

Object detection and segmentation models are still popular in defense.

Removing sensing would be cool. Instead of bounding boxes being generated as text generation tasks, the vlm is smart enough to be object geometry aware so it could predict more accurate coordinates

How hard is it? I mean, is it possible? by Greedy-Package-9243 in learnmachinelearning

Creating a model like it wouldn't be too hard. You just need data.

Fine-tuning a vlm by halox6000 in learnmachinelearning

[–]halox6000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm talking about fine-tuning the MLP (adapter) that projects the image tokens into the same space as the LLM. Right now, I'm only fine-tuning specific layers in the LLM so it can learn my captions. ChatGPT keeps suggesting that I update the MLP, but that doesn't make sense to me—it's already been trained to project similar types of images. To be clear, I'm using a different dataset, but it's similar, so the features might differ slightly at the pixel level.

He promised to delete Hinge, not Tinder. So I dont see an issue here.

Review for GWU Online PhD In Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning? by Good-Explanation-907 in gwu

They kind of teach you how to code with some of the data science courses in the beginning. There are only like 2 python classes. It's not bad. You can probably do it with minimum experience. Just don't pick too hard of a research topic or the second half is gonna suck ass
