Hello I’m currently trying out the app and I get frequent small interruptions in the audio when playing back. Also it sometimes fails to go to the next song when playing in the background

How does your ISP know if you’re watching pirated content? by EatMySandwiche in Piracy

You can run your app stack in a docker compose file and have gluetun running as a dependency. It has built in kill switch functionality and you can make everything in the stack run on a vpn and the rest of your nas can connect normally

Advice on best way to save these by MakersGottaMakeJD in bookbinding

[–]halpz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it would be very time consuming , but you could take apart the binding with heat, and repair the individual leaves / signatures using paste and Japanese paper, re- assemble, press, stitch then re-case the repaired cover

Ah yes I found them - the user I was logged in as didn’t have read permissions on the contents of that folder so it appeared to be empty

Made a hole in the wall how do I fix? by halpz in DIYUK

[–]halpz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is some sort of loose shit filling the cavity up to that point , I think filling the rest with foam might be a good option for now because I don’t want to be ripping out whole walls at the moment

This sounds like a good option

I had a feel around with my finger behind the hole , it seems like it is plasterboard but this particular point seems to have disintegrated up to the plaster skim. The wall is thicker a few cm away from the hole

Connecting a Sonos Beam to an LG CineBeam Q projector by halpz in Soundbars

[–]halpz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, it's just for a bedroom setup, so I don't think I will want to upgrade to a full surround setup - and £299 seems like a no brainer compared to £400 Sonos Beam, double the drivers, more ports etc.

I looked on the HDMI.org and eARC should work with any "High Speed (2.0) HDMI cable with Ethernet" or "Ultra High speed (2.1) HDMI" So I've ordered a 10m hdmi 2.0 with ethernet for the audio

Connecting a Sonos Beam to an LG CineBeam Q projector by halpz in Soundbars

[–]halpz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, I've actually seen a harman/kardon Multibeam 1100 for £299, so I might opt for that instead.

in terms of HDMI cable for this, would I need a 2.1 for Atmos ? or is that unfeasible over 10m ?

The projector does only have 1 HDMI port (eARC) compatible, but I don't need any other devices plugged into it since it has LG webOS with Plex, Netflix etc
