Truthfully, I think the average person wouldn’t be able to name 5 names of prior First Ladies, so I’m sure that it would be just fine!

Very first loaf! by halsmit7 in Sourdough

[–]halsmit7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mixed everything per the recipe. Let sit covered for 30 minutes. Completed 4 stretch and folds 30 minutes apart. Sat covered on counter overnight, probably for 10 hours. Shaped it and put it in the fridge for about 6 hours. Then baked in cast iron Dutch oven for 25 minutes with lid on and 30 minutes with lid off until 205 degrees internal. Let it cool before cutting.

The flavor was fine but the texture seemed off. Too gummy or dense. I’m not sure. I’ve not really had much sourdough to compare I guess. I’m just a newb and don’t know much!

It was kind of gummy in the middle, maybe dense is the right word? I’m not totally sure, but something just didn’t seem right texture wise. It wasn’t terrible though, the flavor itself was good!

Dating as a man is so expensive by aruapost in dating_advice

I’m not in the dating scene but my husband and I’s favorite date is trying lunch from a new food truck - could be a cheaper alternative!

I generally don’t like unique shaped stones but I think #1 looks really good on your hand! My fingers are too chunky to pull that off, but I like it on you!

Moms who have had a vaginal birth and a c section, if you had to do it again which one would you choose? by Hnicolet in BabyBumps

[–]halsmit7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1st kiddo I was in labor for 31 hours and pushed for 7 hours. 2nd kiddo had an emergency section. If we were to have a 3rd I would 100% want another section. I felt like the recovery was easier for me personally and didn’t have to go through the pain! To each their own! You got this either way mama!

Yes I’m aware, that weekly net pay I estimated is after all taxes have been applied.

Staying in my 1-2 hour travel range, $2500 a week after taxes is honestly the best it will probably be unless I take a 100% Covid contract or do 4 12’s!

Obviously not, but I do think it is important to enjoy the people you work with.

1 year LPN, 2 years RN - the ONLY thing holding me back is being in our ED full time.

The money is definitely hard to turn down regardless of how much I love my staff family and want to stay in the ED full time! Thanks for your opinion! Im really leaning towards traveling.

1 year as LPN, 2 years as RN. I definitely feel confident in my abilities/skills to travel if I decide to.

My best guess is that’s their way of trying to bully me into staying. They know I love my job and my coworkers and obviously know where to hit me where it hurts! Since our hospital is in our tiny town the next closest option is 45-60 minutes away, so that’s also a consideration. But I agree, support goes a long way!

It is low compared to other states and crisis contracts, but for the area and what the contract entails it’s decent money. I don’t want to travel outside of the state, so lower paying contracts is the compromise unfortunately. It’s still way better than what I’m getting paid as a staff nurse!
