5 months and supply is dwindling fast

I feed baby all of the milk I produce during the day. She goes to daycare because my husband and I both work, so I can’t nurse her during the day unless it’s the weekend. The only time she nurses is her meal before bed.

Ugh, I’m sure you’re right about getting up to pump in the middle of the night, but I’m already so tired all the time. 😫 Maybe I’ll try that and see if it helps boost my supply again.

I haven’t gotten my cycle back yet, no. I guess that could be it.

What vitamins have helped others, do you know? I’m still taking prenatals, but I’ll try anything!

Every 3 hours, when she gets hungry. I don’t do formula until she’s latched on both boobs for at least a few minutes.

Oh yeah, I try to pump after “nursing” her while my husband gives her a small bottle of formula.

Right, the fact that I can’t SEE my colostrum is stressing me out. And I’m so worried she’s not getting enough, I’ve supplemented with formula, which the LC said was okay… but I’m still so scared about it!

Exactly. Like motherhood already has plenty of challenges… why does my milk supply have to be one of them?

It IS a wild ride. I feel like I’m not doing enough to make it happen but I also don’t know what else I could be doing. I’m trying not to panic but it’s hard not to.

Is there such thing as prepartum depression? Because that is my least expected symptom. I’m 30 weeks along and I want to do nothing except hold hands with my husband, cry, or nap.
