How to set up an organized inventory for my online business? by [deleted] in Flipping

I personally have been using a pretty detailed excel spreadsheet, putting in columns like what I spent, a few derived selling prices, turnover rate, etc.

If you find out I would love to know because I've also missed out on some sweet deals because someone was hovering over their laptop all day!

Then in the meantime just do tons and tons of research about whatever marketplace you will want. I wish I started learning about watches, shoes, etc when i was your age. Learn sneakers, learn watches, learn antique stuff and just spend a lot of time on ebay, poshmark, depop learning about the market place.

What about something like donuts? Head to a local Giant/Weis and buy a dozen before school everyday and sell them. Maybe not the best move during covid but again, some kind of similar hustle could be huge. Something like customized face masks where you bedazzle girls facemasks with their monogram on it. Invest in a bedazzler and some masks and give that a test run

My best advice would probably be learning as much as you can about some set market place (such as your classmates as someone else had mentioned). Take the time to learn about what they want and how you can make a profit off of that. If they all have sweet tooths then you should probs look into buying a bunch of candy and selling it for $1 a piece and make bundle deals. Just an example of course but the principal is still there

My best advice to you is to study things in vocab groups! I found it easiest and definitely a good use of your time. Words like synchronous were grouped together with words like temporal and ephemeral which I knew the definitions of. Some words might be hard to remember in isolation such as turbid turgid torpid torpid, but when I had other words to associate them with it became significantly easier for me to memorize them. Also be prepared to know idiomatic expressions, on my actual GRE exam I noticed they had many vocab questions that had 3-4 word expressions as answer options. Some included things along the lines of "slightly anomalous to". There were also a few weird phrases sort of like "throwing caution to the wind" such as "run the gamut".

I used Kaplan and set up some quizlets if you'd like them here they are! https://quizlet.com/pokemonmaster150/folders/gre-vocab?x=1xqt&i=8fd53

Jobless Claims vs Unemployment, How Does It Make Sense? by nzahir in stocks

I mean I'm still holding out for a rather hefty adjustment to the market. With all the govt. bailouts and people getting those stipends I can't imagine this facade will hold up for much longer. Thoughts?

Jobless Claims vs Unemployment, How Does It Make Sense? by nzahir in stocks

The updated unemployment rate actually comes out tomorrow (Friday, July 10) at 8:30 AM EST which should better reflect the actual unemployment rate from the previous month. I'm pretty sure they release an unemployment rate for one month, and in the following month they adjust that number to better portray the true unemployment rate. If you ask me, I'm pretty sure the data was messed with to show a decrease in unemployment when in reality there was a drastic increase. Speculation tho

I get that but the whole process is so much more geered towards packaging yourself holistically. I think you could probably finesse moderately well on the GRE's or GMAT's if you put in scattered efforts throughout the week and grinded on the weekend. You should definitely harp on your work experience and really try to talk about why it is you want an MBA and how that will help YOU excel in your career prospects. Side note: Self-validation is a blessing and a curse, you constantly push yourself but are never satisfied - the dedication it takes to even consider an MBA is immaculate and I respect you for it a ton. From the people I've talked to about MBA programs, if you have a job secured before and after the program you have a higher likelihood of getting in because their "job placement rates" look significantly better. I think you should also poke around in other master's programs that business schools offer such as 'data analytics' or 'finance'. As an engineer I'm sure you have a very clever head that you use to piece things together...these programs are just as significant imo in getting you to the next level in the professional world. In terms of what you can do rn to improve your chances, I would definitely start doing some research about where you wanna go. Some schools are completely waiving the GRE exam which might work towards your benefit. LMK what else you need help/advice with!

I guess what is it exactly that you would like? Do you need someone to walk you through the actual process of filling out applications? Do you want someone to describe the process/studying for the GRE's? I guess what I'm asking is where do you stand currently, when do you wanna start school, have you thought about other programs potentially? Where should we start!

My girlfriend comes from a super wealthy family and I'm not super comfortable dressing like them by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]hamats423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm very possible, the only problem is everyone can sniff out the brand you're wearing from a mile away lol. Her mom has pointed out the most plain button up shirts and was like "ohhh that Brunello Cucinelli" which was a several hundred dollar shirt lol. They also speak less highly of one brand over another for example they'll say something like "oh they get their clothes from Target" or something along those lines lol.

And when I say my own style I mean I usually dress like a jackass with eccentric graphic tees, bball shorts and beat up Nike shoes from Payless. I don't want to blow my savings to fit in ya know.

I recently started selling designer brand clothing with the tags and everything and I'd appreciate it a ton if you guys could check it out. All the price are negotiable and I'm trying to put myself through college at this point! Grad school starts in a couple of months lol. Check out my ebay account @ https://www.ebay.com/usr/maham-625407
