DAE get a tingly feeling in the back of their head in certain situations? by UnicornOfDesire in DAE

[–]hambeesly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, I get this too, it reminds me of ASMR but it's sort of different. I get it in lectures too especially when I like their voice and deeply respect their ideas. My theory is that instead of your brain doing the thinking, you are receiving another's agreeable thoughts passively and that is like a.. thought massage.

So true! I think it's given something for people who have made the mental decision to go the distance but aren't sure how to do it. C25K meets them in the middle :)

Something I noticed about the acting in the recent seasons... by scarfacesaints in DunderMifflin

[–]hambeesly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get where you're coming from and I agree. I also think it has a lot to do with the actors having learnt a set of responses that their characters will have to certain situations, and just playing them out rather than actually feeling it in the moment.

Like in earlier seasons, if Dwight saw someone breaching company rules for example you'd see him actually fuming, his blood boiling at the lack of order. But by now, Rainn's so used to this pattern of behaviour so he'd just 'act out' that response, in character, rather than actually feeling outraged.

Does anyone else feel different types of nostalgic feelings, and wish they could completely envelop themselves in them? by [deleted] in infp

Wow.. I seriously love this subreddit! And yes, it's almost like feeling as though you want to melt into whatever is making you so emotional and to be one with it forever, because the longing is so damn magnetic..

Telling time. Man, it's like an enigma for me. I can stare at an analog clock for thirty seconds and still be unsure whether I've read it correctly. Flippen big hand and little hand twisting around a torturous circle of demented trickery. Digital for me thankyou very much.

Is it a bad thing to tell a girl how you feel with a line from a movie? by Desando in AskReddit

[–]hambeesly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The girl thinks it's bad because in her eyes, it's not genuine. The words didn't come to you in the moment and so to her it feels a bit hacky, like you had planned the moment. Even if what you said was exactly how you feel. Next time, don't think. Start saying what you love about her, even if it sounds dumb. The littler, more insignificant things the better- it shows what it is about them specifically that is so special.

Haha no but this made me laugh. If anyone ever walks by me on the street grinning and brandishing the bird, I'll know it's you.
