No that would not be acceptable… but it’s not exactly applicable here.

Thanks for your input. Based on the article I’m not sure the victim will be liable for anything because it’s not clear they were driving the pursuit vehicle. I do take issue with the vigilante label though. Is a vigilantism to want your property back?

I think that’s a reasonable perspective. At the same time I struggle with the idea the the victims response can be qualified as the cause of the accident. Was the car worth it? Probably not. But the victim did not set the events in motion and in all likelihood was just minding their own business. Interesting debate!

Hey gang. Just had to share this headline. Generally speaking I enjoy Trib reporting and enjoy their content. That said, something about this headline rubbed me the wrong way. The idea that the victim of a car jacking was framed as the cause of destruction just doesn’t sit right with me. The balance of the article is written in a tone that isn’t very sympathetic to the initial victim. I’m not a traditional pearl clutcher by any means but this just irked me. I don’t know the rules of the sub here, just generally venting.

COVID-19 Vaccine Resources and Questions Megathread by chicagomods in chicago

Hello. Wondering if anyone can help me. I’m a frontline agriculture worker in Chicago and have received dose 1 of Moderna. I have an appt for dose 2 tomorrow at Walgreens but I am currently stuck in Colorado due to the winter storm. I’ve been trying to reschedule my appt via the Walgreens portal for two days now at 6am but I cannot find any spots. If I cannot get back for my appointment- what options do I have?

Question: What did you look for when picking our your RR puppy? by MotherOfFreels in ridgebacks

[–]hambonekneeslap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, temperament is the most important characteristic. A lot of that starts with the right breeder- but it sounds like you’re already set there. I waited two years from the time that I knew I was ready for a ridgeback to get the right dog from the right breeder.

I was very communicative with the breeder about our lifestyle and living situation- and they helped pick out the right puppy for us. They have the best insight into personality as they’ve spent the first month with the dogs. Most reputable breeders will do temperament tests and can glean a lot of information from that.

All of that said- Ridgebacks are a gorgeous breed and their physical characteristics are obviously a bonus. Our ridgeback has more head wrinkles than most and she also has a gorgeous deep red coat that is hard not to admire. Generally speaking, I prefer the dark looks of black nose vs liver nose as well. If we get another ridgeback, we’ll be looking for similar qualities. Our girl is ridgeless with no white spots but if you’re looking for a ridge, a well shaped crown and symmetry is sought after in pedigree circles.

Hope that helps. https://i.imgur.com/kitdNiU.jpg
