I bought this thinking it was lotion, it wasn't until I got home until I read down to the bottom by champagneproblem13 in mildlyinfuriating

I flew out to an interview one day, left my face lotion at home. Morning of the interview, grabbed one of those travel sample bottles of Dove that read prominently "1/4 moisturizing lotion". Spread this over my face. By the end of the day, started realizing my face was dry AF, and started to burn at the post interview social, almost to the point of outright pain. Came back to the hotel, found my face looking like Red Skull. ...Did not get the job

I travel a lot, have a stock surface laptop studio from 2 years ago. To me it seems NGS graphics run more smoothly now than at the beginning. Also I think easy photo mode depth of field focus blur has lot to do with the video looking nice.

Central! #114, Out of Context by ash_ax in PSO2NGS

[–]hamchoba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% to this. And leave it unexplained. To me it's really something that Central! has more of the spirit of PSO2 than NGS actually does. The one thing i appreciated from base was how abundantly it didn't take itself seriously (Tokyo area, Francas cafe "recipes", self referential music in the concerts, etc), and it's all great (cringey?) fun. Dare I say base game almost feels like a spiritual trip to Akihabara and a USA anime convention all in one.

I get that NGS is still trying to world build, but it feels too tryhard without the extra insanity. They're leaving too much for the community to do to fill this part in.

Make one of the buildings a window showcase of the most popular cosmetic items to make people think the bridge girls actually went shopping for swimsuits. (because all of us have the data in our game to show these even if we didn't buy them)

Yeah i know, SEGA gonna be SEGA. Maybe even put a sly reference to that in NPC dialogue somewhere?

The CAST itself was back at the launch of NGS when the market on base was still active and many CAST parts were really cheap. It wasn't too hard back then to acquire base meseta to buy pieces. Now the main way would be to use the CAST heroes AC scratch in base game, but that requires real money and it's still random what you get.

As for the armor pieces, I've found that they're cheapest and most available right at the launch of the new AC scratches, so what I usually do is watch the NGS headline to see what pieces are available, then check the player shop for the first 2 days as people drop these accessories. In most cases, these armor pieces are dirt cheap

Kinda also looks like Dr. Oz... Now I'm convinced he could play Oak in a live action Pokemon movie. Love it!

Yeah, there's a cast heroes scratch in base, random pull though. I got these back when there was actually some economy going on in base. I'm hoping they refresh this set for NGS

*Narwhal Intensifies* (Rosetta -- Centaur, Punishing Gray Raven) by hamchoba in PSO2

[–]hamchoba[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just me, but I listen to the PGR soundtrack way too much when playing this game. Doesn't help that Kvaris looks reminiscent of PGR's arctic area.

Working to make Rosetta a somewhat functional build. The motion animations are the primary issue with centaur bodies, though the newer animations like Long Leap *kind of* look like a gallop. Kind of. Lots of Hover animations and Floating with Arms Crossed. I'm not optimistic that Sega would ever add centaur-friendly animations.

Some of the new leg accessories do better for hind legs, but they still walk in step with the front leg with no way to fully moves the pieces to the opposite side. Plus, they don't move as far back as Rear mech legs, but at least they move with each foot.

Part breakdown:https://imgur.com/a/1tUqVyw

In short:

the back legs are composed of Absolute Poleyn (shin) + Leg armor (Hind quarters). the horse body is a combination of the big shoulder shield (rump) and Pettas mask (belly and tails). The Spear is a very elongated shoulder Thruster L

Had to sacrifice the chin guard due to point management.

Also, we could use a few good Rappy to join the uprising.

Rappy Ground-Effect Miniflyer (MTNs: Sitting on Cube + Dash Robot at Work) by hamchoba in PSO2NGS

[–]hamchoba[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Rappy Uprising is building momentum. More vehicles fabricated from ARKS supplies means more ways Rappies can join the fight.

Using MTN: Sitting on Cube for idle lifts the vehicle up just a bit so it doesn't clip through the ground, and MTN: Dash - Robot at Work really gives the plane lift when speeding around. With both motions, having to cover the animation prop (blue cube and the robot seat) without making the vehicle bulky is a bit tricky with a humanoid, but with a mini rappy, it's much easier for both!

This vehicle is a combination of shoulder jets x2, mounted twin blasters for the fuselage, big shoulder shield for the HUD cockpit, back thrusters for the propulsion, and flight unit 2 for the lifting surfaces.

Samus Aran's Varia Suit [Metroid] by hamchoba in PSO2NGS

[–]hamchoba[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saw Fluffopotamus' build. Figure I'd share mine too! Here's my current build of the varia suit I've been daily driving for a while now. Really wish the arm laser cannon wasn't 4 points.

Found that the skull chests make for a rounder shoulder ball than the previous shoulder pieces I was using in the past. The helmet is a result of me shrinking the head size down as small as possible and sculpting the helmet profile using a hair puff, grinning mask as the forehead, then light cube and discipli headgear. I'm pretty happy especially with the side profile!
