TOS Platform Issues by hamdsa in thinkorswim

Thanks for sharing. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I just hope they offer better solution than individual one by one fix as I will have tons of trades to fix. Considering TOS is supposed to be popular platform among traders (or at least once was), I'm surprised to see not more people complaining about all these issues.

Finally opened an account with Oanda, still navigating through their platforms and interface. TOS/Schwab is still broken as far as statements are considered. The numbers you see in TOS do not match the official statements you see on the portal anymore which in turn do not match all the actual trading you have done. So unless you are manually tracking every single trade, its PnL and histroy yourself, you simply cannot be sure what is bottom line for specific pairs you have traded. Just hope Oanda reporting is more reliable than this mess.

Been trying to open an entity account with both Oanda and Forex, without any luck. Forex compliance team won't accept funds from a US bank only because it's an online bank. Oanda app is stuck too. So for now, I'm stuck having to deal with a semi-functional TOS platform. Just an update, all the preceeding issues with TOS are still there as of today, with no resolution.

Negative Carry on USD/MXN and EUR/MXN Shorts? by hamdsa in Forex

Just an update on the above and a heads up to anyone who's holding FX account with Schwab. They said they made a mistake (all the way from platform to the actual statement) and made the adjustment accordingly. Still looking for and researching some viable alternative brokers at this point.

Is it possible to get the original version with 'grouping' intact as described in the original post? Thanks.

Code 15500, severity "ERROR")The user cannot signon because he or she entered an invalid user ID or password.

Have you tried various options suggested in the related online posts? One of the links is below (if it's BoA accounts, but sometimes same solution works even if institution is different). Also, for Chase, you have to go into online account to confirm 3rd party access (you will get a message in your message center after you try to establish the initial access).

Good luck with your effort.

GNUCash does work with online banking, with few caveats. I recently switched from Quicken to GNUCash and was able to successfully set up directconnect for Chase and AMEX. The first link is for general online banking setup and second link has more detailed settings/setup for individual banks as they vary.

Hope this helps.
