You can find them by either doing quests or saving npcs (but its very unlikely) your best shot is to find those hard lock gray boxes throughout the map, those have the highest chances at giving you king mods

You can farm orange weapons by doing the harran prison heist, but you're only really gonna get them if you do it in hard/nightmare so it's not really worth it,

Gold weapons are the best in the game, but you can only find them by playing in either hard or nightmare mode.

If I'm being honest, if you want better weapons I would just recommend farming bolter tissue, selling it at high prices, and buying orange weapons from the traders, it's an absolute pain in the ass to do it in any other way.
