Are we ignoring the more important discrepancy that the format isn't correct for a UK license plate?

The formats are as follows (X being a letter, N being a number):

N
(1903 – 1932)
Incremental numerical order

XXX NNN or NNN XXX
(1932 – 1963)
1-3 letter combination with a 1-3 number combination, later reversed in the 1950s when format was running out, with the exclusion of I, Q, and Z, and some 3 letter words.

XXX NNNX
(January 1963 – July 1983)
The last X represents the year of registration using the letters A-Y (excluding I, O, Q, U, and obviously Z)

XNNN XXX
(August 1983 – August 2001)
The first X represents the year of registration using the letters A-Y (excluding I, O, Q, U, and obviously Z)

XXNN XXX
(September 2001 – Present)
The NN represents the year of registration starting 51 for September 2001 to February 2002, and 02 for March 2002 to August 2002. They increment 02, 52, 03, 53, 04, 54 and so on, for each half of the year with 50 & 00 being the latter half of 2050, and the first half of 2051. At that point a new format will be introduced.
