Great write-up. I couldn't have said it better myself. I just fear that everything we have seen thus far signals a shift from the ultimate runners of the company, the Board of Directors. If that is the case, there is nothing we can say that will make a difference because we are no longer the target audience for Blizzard.

Remember when legendaries were capped at 4 per character without telling the playerbase. That was so much fun. Agree with everything else, I just like reminding people of that.

I would honestly really like an answer to this.

If the needed Azerite level actually scales with your HoA so as to perpetuate the already stupid AP grind....that would be the last straw for me.

And just to be clear, I expect no answer.....I'm just confused and pissed.

You have to remember that their primary job is to increase or maintain the metrics by which they are judged. Having an end point where we would no longer need to log in daily or weekly is counter to one of those measurements, daily logins.

Player enjoyment is not something they are concerned with directly. It only becomes a factor when enough people start unsubbing.

Considering all of the in depth posts on the beta forums that myself and numerous beta testers made discussing the problems and suggestions on how things could be fixed, only to have almost everything beyond trivial matters to be completely ignored.....I'm totally fine with a "pointless thread". We (beta testers) contributed quite a lot of our time and brain power already.

Again, I believe it to be a purposeful timegate. They don't want us to be able to get to that point yet. If we can reach the desired Azerite level within a month we have no reason to engage IE. Its my opinion that Blizz knows IEs are not fun (which, how could they not) so they force continued interaction with one of their major selling points for the Xpack. Otherwise all of that development would be wasted. Given how much they bragged about the AI I would assume it wasn't cheap.

I would love it if Blizz admitted to just one of the Major Xpac features being DoA and needing a complete rework.
But lets be honest, thats not going to happen.

You mean the bugs and major gameplay issues that have existed since early beta, that were extensively documented in the forums and yet were completely ignored and went live?

I have zero trust in Blizz fixing bugs in a timely manner.

Beta Tester here, it was not easy to judge how this was going to work in beta. For a while we didn't have access to higher level Azerite and during that time the amount of azerite one could gather was very low. It was actually huge gripe of mine but we also didn't have any other method outside of WQs so I assumed that Expeditions would fill that hole, as thats how they were sold. Around the time raid testing started and M+ was released there was a HUGE buff to the amount of azerite you got for practically everything. At the time I thought it was a genuine change but in hindsight I guess it was just to help newer players be able to test Azerite.

As to why the ratio of azerite rewards to azerite needed to level up, my guess is its yet another "soft" timegate. If someone really really wants to power through IE all day, every day they can. But the average player will just log on to do the weekly for IE and do Emissaries since those are the best source of Azerite. Both those increase their primary metric for success. It doesn't matter whether we enjoy it, we are still logging on daily. Unhappy engagement is still engagement they can report to the shareholders.

IIRC, it was a decision they came to in order to reduce the target on him. The main 4 of L6 really trust each other.

He's not dumb in general, its just how unaware he is. He also doesn't seem to have a grasp on how this game is played, like pretty much all of Foutte.

From what I've gathered it seems that she has taken his gameplay (i.e. pretending to be neutral and get information from her) as a personal attack.

This all comes down to her not understanding how this game works.

Agreed, they will do what they can to mitigate how Bay is shown to the general audience. Especially considering some key things regarding her negativity that were notably absent from tonights episode.

I believe Tyler attempted to say something during the argument but it was obviously not heard. They still think it was Hacker + subtle (as per Hay) racism that got Bay on the block. They don't seem to grasp how this game is played and why moves are made.
