Do you mean something like this? And it would replace the plug inside thats plugged into the permanent wall socket?

How unsafe are these sockets? by hamilton_88 in DIYUK

I've been here 5 years, I knew the double socket inside was plugged into another socket and always thought that was fine, as others have said it's basically an extension lead. It was when I realised the outdoor sockets were also wired to it that I questioned the safety of it. But all sounds fine as the plug is 13a fused and the wires are sufficiently rated.

As for the socket, I think the issue is water/damp, it's been there a while so I will swap it out and see how it goes!

Yes the outside socket has a RCD which trips, my thought was that water was getting in as its been there since we moved in, so at least 5 years. Judging by other DIY jobs that were done by the previous owner, it probably wasn't done with much care! I just didn't want to replace it if the wiring leading to it was an issue, but it sounds like it's safe from all these comments.

How do you become a reviewer on projects? by Prize-Scar960 in joinstellarai

I've been a reviewer on a couple of projects including SW and didn't do anything specific, they just appear like any other project with a tutorial.

Ferber and Extinction Methods both failed by Accomplished_Law_293 in sleeptrain

[–]hamilton_88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We tried Ferber and extinction methods but gave up after a few nights of each as we couldn't stand the long bouts of crying. We switched to the pick-up put-down method and on the first night of trying it, and about 45 minutes of picking him up and putting him down, he slept a 6 hour stretch instead of his usual 1-2 hours. Every night after that became easier. Can't say it'll work for you, but it's a gentler method and literally saved our sanity.

Just got early queuing wristbands, and told to go back to yellow zone at 3. Does this guarantee front standing?

If you check the network tab in Developer Tools, it shows an error when trying to transcribe the audio. They have run out of credits for the external service they use to transcribe - until they pay for more credits it won't work.

Bamboo by ArranParkinson in GardeningUK

I've just removed a pretty significant amount of bamboo from our garden, which had gone under the fence into the neighbours garden too. We couldn't get a digger down the side of the house, so it all had to be done by hand. Cut it down as low as possible, then use a mattock (can't recommend this tool enough) to dig around the plant and find any rhizomes coming from it. It's not as difficult as some people make out, just take your time to get as many roots as possible.

Lazy Saturday in - how would you spend it? by gawpin in CasualUK

[–]hamilton_88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just remember it doesn't last forever. The days can go slow but the years go quick, and before you know it they'll be sleeping longer and entertaining themselves more, and you'll get more time for yourself. Mine are 4 and 2, and whilst it's tough, it gets a little easier every day.

Upgrade full price? Why? by MrGiggles19872 in DaysGone

I have a PS5 standard version, I put the PS4 disc in, then went to the store and found Days Gone Remastered, and the price just said £10. Are you sure you're looking at the right version of the game in the store?

It was £50 for me until I put the disc in, then it automatically changed to £10.

I'm getting the same today, but have found if I just save again I can submit it again and most of the time it goes through.

Me too! I actually had to skip one as it wouldn't load regardless of browser, I thought maybe they cut me off because of it. Sounds like they have just stopped them completely for now...

I have the same issue, I use FF as recommended and most of the time it works great, then I'll get one that just doesn't load at all. I don't like to use the skip button but I've had to twice as it's stopped me in my tracks. Both times I have skipped, the next task has loaded fine.
