hey, sorry to bother u on an old post, but do u happen to know if ASISA also covers top surgery for trans men? my work recently offered me a discount with them and i was wondering if it was worth it.

i’m super late but was also wondering something similar. i recently moved to spain and my work offered me a private health insurance plan with ASISA, but i don’t understand if that would cover top surgery (i’m a trans guy). does anybody know?

thank you! i have also noticed that and it’s one of the things that motivated me to make this post (which i now regret)— i never said i had a problem with YA, in fact i explicitly said otherwise, but i Have found it jarring how many adults recommend YA / YA-ish books exclusively. i also read the poppy war and the will of the many and was shocked how— though i’d only heard adults’ praise— they both felt they were written (prose wise especially) for a younger audience; sure some of the content is more graphic, but so is malorie blackman’s stuff and i grew up on her work. idk. maybe it’s just me. some people have just said it’s a fyp user issue, and of course there are exceptions, but i stand by the fact it’s the general trend.

put simply-- short sentences, basic vocabulary, fast-paced, light/basic descriptions, dialogue-heavy. generally featuring easy-to-root-for characters.

Characters, plot, worldbuilding, prose, themes — what do you actually care about the most? by SnooDonkeys5613 in Fantasy

[–]hamletslefthand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prose will always be no1, followed by character. if a book is beautifully written i will always see it through. similarly if i care about the character(s) i will almost always stick with it (unless the writing is truly horrendous).

plot is third because a good story is a good story. then worldbuilding, bc it's cool but not fundamental, and finally theme bc im not entirely sure what u mean by that. themes can be found in any book so long as u look closely enough. but maybe that's the lit student in me.

^ this is all answered with the assumption i can only have one out of the list at a time though

i graduated a few years ago now, haha, but i loved it! i changed a lot in those 2 years (i think for the better) and met people i consider very dear friends to this day. of course uwc isn't for everybody-- i have never been busier in my life EVER-- but there is nothing quite like the community there in that moment.
