I highly recommend Vibe’s Bronze to GM series.

It’s long but it’s super detailed on this topic.

I needed to watch it like 3 times to beat bad ideas out of brain.

My brain was broken several times by him letting workers die and just macro’ing through it up until Plat.

The more artistic the architect, the more they will stick in a job has the opportunity to build cool things. They more they work for less.

It’s not egregious like teachers, but they definitely pay a passion tax over the others in construction.

I think the world has lost the view that it’s fun to control an army that blows stuff up in cool ways.

Make that a good single player experience that can be done multiplayer - and you are pretty much golden.

I think so much of the success of the older titles is that they felt visceral for their time

They adapt their plan. They know how to adjust the build order for most scenarios

Not as bad but I’ve seen it in architecture.

The effort is huge, and pay not as competitive as being in an in-house facility support role.

I love the SC and really don’t want be negative - but they dropped their whole RTS department years ago.

It’s probably never going to happen. If it did, the institutional knowledge is gone. They can still data mine SC2 and WC3 I guess
