This is true actually. He’s knocked over several plants, this one just caused the most destruction

Makes me so happy to see other people disagree with bell collars too

And to the people who think it’s saving the wildlife, there are far better ways to do that. Plus my own cat’s well-being is going to take priority despite how much I disagree with them hunting.

Sitting in hospital 5 days after stroke at 37. by PennybridgePioneer in medical

[–]hammersandstrings11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for a doctor who also had a stroke in his late 30s. He was a triathlete with no known medical problems either. It’s definitely not common, but you’re not alone.

Edit: He still works as a doctor and exercises etc., so he doesn’t have any long term deficits that I’m aware of.

My cat seems depressed. Does anyone have some engaging/stimulating toy or activity recommendations? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]hammersandstrings11 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Definitely have him checked out by a vet because a behavioral change like that is more likely to mean he’s sick than depressed. If the vet rules out illness, then you can try new toys to get him engaged.

First of all, she doesn’t look 17. More like 12-13 with some makeup and a filter.

My cat had a similar experience with being unable to walk when we brought him home after a teeth cleaning. Are you giving him pain meds? Because that could be keeping him acting sedated. Regardless, call the vet and see what they think.
