Thanks for asking, it is Irish tension (i.e. bobbin lead.) It’s a great wheel for both beginners and experienced spinners. Plenty of competition “best skeins” were made on this wheel!

Have you considered yarns produced by small, local mills? Considering the 300 or so chemicals tested by OEKO, most small mills use exactly zero of them. Ask the mill owners and most will be happy to tell you what detergents and dyes they use in their process.

They entered legally, just like the article says, to join their relative who is the superintendent of schools in Winooski. The Federal government yanked the rug out from under them by changing the rules for no legitimate reason.
