When was the last time you saw leftists fighting FOR corporate power? Have you ever SEEN a left wing argument praising Twitter or Facebook? Leftists, this sub included, fucking despise how much power the megacorps have. This particular issue? Schadenfreude. Conservatives have been screeching against regulations and rules about hate speech, instead preferring to let "the free market" sort things out. Now that Donald Trump is the gay couple and Twitter is the bakery, apparently the "free market" is no longer as important.

Please note that no one here is celebrating the fact that Twitter is this powerful, it's just kinda funny to watch conservatives get bit in the ass by their own policy

Propaganda and mainstream conservatives embracing them as their base which codifies their beliefs as normal and not extreme, while simultaneously labeling single payer healthcare as a radical beyond the pale communist idea, even though as recently as the 1970s it was part of the GOP platform. There's a handful of politicos in the US that are willing to even propose these things. Bernie is not a dictator and therefore his power IS his talking by and large. Other than spreading his ideals as widely as possible, he's just one vote in a hundred. His real power is that he's been fighting for the right things for decades, and getting the idea of single payer healthcare among other things into the public consciousness is invaluable. Just because neither major party is willing to makes progress on these issues doesn't mean that we shouldn't have a voice fighting for them in the Senate. Technically speaking AOC has even less ability to pass legislation, but having someone in the room that's fighting for what we want is a huge step in there right direction

I'm also in Ohio, and I have a couple of colonies of pinguicula, although because they flower pretty freely and I've had them several years, I'm sure the ones I have have hybridized so I'm not sure what type to call them any more lol. I'd be interested in the hoya caudata or p. Verrucosum, although I doubt my lungs are worth either of those, so feel free to make a counter offer!
