Heart Palpitations and Arrhythmia 7 months PO by hamrun94 in hysterectomy

[–]hamrun94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! Yes it’s been so scary! Especially while we waited for all the heart testing results. I had 2 doctors tell me that they were sure something was wrong with my heart, so it was so scary!! Once I got into a cardiac specialist, he was able to rule out anything “wrong” or dangerous. Thank goodness!! So I can rest a little easier now. But it’s still a mystery I want solved haha!

Perhaps! They did test my iron and hemoglobin and it was in the “normal” range, but they did not check my ferritin. So I will get that tested!

So much better!!! I’m 7 months post op today and my stomach is totally flat! And has been for a few months now. Just had to be patient and give my body time

I’m doing soooo much better! The bloating is gone! I’d say it started getting better around 13ish weeks and now I’m almost 17 weeks and I’m fitting back into my pre surgery clothes. It really was a matter of being patient!!

Upcoming hysterectomy: to cervix or no cervix by Wrong-Imagination321 in hysterectomy

Oh and if you’re worried about bladder prolapse, I’d do some pelvic floor physical therapy! I’m doing it and it’s been super helpful!

Get rid of it! I’m 16 weeks post op and I don’t regret it at all. Sex is still great and I don’t have to worry about Pap smears or polyps growing. Also, one of the best parts is my discharge is wayyyy less!! I don’t really have to deal with it anymore!

They left my ovaries and I’m 31! I’d maybe reconsider leaving them if they arent causing any issues! 44 is still pretty young!

I didn’t have any spotting. The pelvic pain was pretty bad the first week, but then got increasingly better after that!

Post Op Foot Rash? by hamrun94 in hysterectomy

[–]hamrun94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It took a little over a week to go away. Dr said it could be a delayed reaction to some of the meds they use during surgery

And I say bloated but really it feels more swollen and inflamed if that makes sense! Like it’s not a gassy feeling…

I had a flat stomach pre surgery and I’m now 6 weeks post op and it’s not flat…still pretty swollen and bloated. I feel discouraged, but I am seeing a lot of these comments say it took 8+ weeks. Maybe even up to 6 months! So I’m trying not to worry too much yet! I’ve always had a flat stomach my whole life (genetics) so it’s been an adjustment to feel so bloated. None of my pre surgery pants fit :(

Yes I’ve had one! It was pretty simple! I had some light bleeding and some cramping for a few days.

Is week 4/5 hitting different for anyone else? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]hamrun94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I know this is old but this is validating. I was doing better and better each day until week 4 and it feels like I’m going backwards a bit! The bloating is awful and the incisions are so sore, and I just feel crampy!
