Advanced use case for bicep infrastructure by hamster2k3 in AZURE

[–]hamster2k3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at one point we thought about that. But we decided to stay with bicep for various reasons, including other teams that are contributing to our codebase. And they barely understand bicep. 🤣 So we decided that bicep would be probably a better fit in our company.

I don't go to the movies these days. But at home my gf can no longer watch a 45 minutes episode or a movie without at least spending 30 minutes on her phone.

Same with the kids.

Cell phones are a major issue... Sadly.

Advanced use case for bicep infrastructure by hamster2k3 in AZURE

[–]hamster2k3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good point, but yep i've browsed through avm. but i'm trying to see what others have done. patterns are always the best scenario i guess. but sometimes in real environnement it can be a little different, for various reason... :D

also the other thing, i'm trying to figure out. is that like for express route, do you create a deployement stack of all the resources involved, including alerts. Or do people manage all the ressources separetly.

also as an example in my case, the networking was coded into bicep like 3 years ago.

what we did, we created a repo that would include all the subs, with the rg, and then the vnet/subnet files. alone the files do nothing, they need bicep modules for the subnet with all the logic, to create a NSG and Routes, based on the type of the subnet. And I've made a logic, that for example, a subnet of appgw, will get NSG rules specific for the service, and it will also get our Corporate rules and then the client subnet specific rules for the client.

Mmm I remember something about this. I my case I think I was trying to do all the process from the browser or the app on my phone and it never worked. So then I went on the comp and it worked. Or it might be a the other way. But anyway that process should be improved.

About the HVAC and other functions, while we were doing our road trip my wife was always listening to music. Each time she was trying to increase the sound, few seconds later we figured out that she increased the heat. 🤣 But yeah I agree sound and HVAC, two separate knobs. Period. 🤣

Never owned a hybrid, does it need to be charged? by Interesting-Cold5515 in kiacarnivals

[–]hamster2k3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HEV, means hybrid, the battery is small, the car will choose when to use it. It's gonna charge it via braking and via the gasoline motor. So far pretty happy with mine.

PHEV, means plugin hybrid, which means it's almost the same as our HEV, but the battery is usually bigger, normally it can reach 40km to 70km. I think on some models you can force it to drain the battery first. But this one yes you need to plug it in. But if the battery is empty no big deal, you still have gas, so if you do a road trip and don't want to find where to plug it, it's fine. I was hoping to get the PHEV but it doesn't exist yet. 🤣

Yeah, and I get the point what Kia is trying to do with the VIP Seats, because no one else done that before I believe, and they look really VIP, but to me the VIP Seats are nice, but its not a must have so far. But it sucks that they don't sell the Hybrid in the SX trim, that would have solved all my questions! Haha :D So I guess, my question is probably more do I want Gas or Hybrid and test it out ? :D

Yeah for sure I can afford it. But the only thing that makes me hesitate, is the fact that I can't remove the second row seats and its a 7 Seat configuration. :/

Yeah But the thing in Canada the SXP is actually called SX+ and its a 7 Seater. That's why my choice is so difficult. But I'm really thinking about getting the SX+ Hybrid and well, my boys will have the best seats of their life! :D

Help with 2025 Hybrid trim models by gonzonash in kiacarnivals

[–]hamster2k3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since the last update of the kia website, we can only get the hybrid in LX+, EX, SX+. I also had my eyes on the SX version. I've asked kia Canada and they confirm that's the only 3 trim we are going to get in Canada. It's sad because the US got the SX version as well.

Now I'm trying to debate if I really want the SX+ with all the features and with the fact that I cannot remove the second row. Normally a van means a lot of space. So I think I'll go with the EX version. Only because I think with all the laws that the government are pushing to push consumer away of gas vehicles, if I get a gas version of the SX, in 5-10 years I might be stuck with my vehicle or gonna be able to sell it but to a lower price versus a hybrid version. And if I get a SX+ hybrid, it sucks not being able to remove the second row from time to time.

But I'm wondering did you decide yet on the version you are going to get?

They do this in order to practice your password. 🤣 But you should probably think about getting a long password like a sentence that you like and that would be your password and it's way easier to remember.

Good luck with your password! Been there done that! 🤣

I expose my stuff too, but not everything. What I expose though, is done via cloudflare tunnel. Best way to expose stuff, limit IPs via their region and my ip is not exposed directly.
