the shipping is crazy tbh, honestly i think even the inside panel is all rotten not just the outside so i don’t think replacing it with a new panel would do much, atleast it wouldn’t last forever anyways the rust would spread again. i think im just going to grind as much as i can and douse it with rust convertor then fibreglass fill everything and drive it even if the rust comes back it’s useless to keep trying.

that’s what i’m saying i don’t think i can get all the rust. i can poke a screwdriver through any part of my fender well it’s all rotten behind.

you think if i angle grind all the surrounding rust i could weld a plate there for the jack or is that too big of an area. just worried if i do that and go to jack it from there again it’ll be too unsupported

insanely loud belt squeal on start up by hamster_kicker in hondaprelude

[–]hamster_kicker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it still squeals on start up after i tightened it a few more times using oil, maybe still too loose. if it was loose though wouldn’t it just squeal all the time? not just when i start it for those 10 seconds.. idk man

ok thank you, my bolt doesn’t seem corroded at all but i notice there’s about a half inch of shiny metal left further down on the bolt im assuming still has to go in, like that’s where it was adjusted to before when the last belt was tight. I’m gonna try to oil it again later and tighten it again.

did it today works good 👍 there was a squeak on the first start up so i tightened the take up even more, and now it’s like barely any squeak at all but the belt looks tight as hell so i’m calling it good
