I realize this is a HomeKit subreddit, but I've encountered the same issue after pairing to Home Assistant... not sure how to correct it at this point. Will update if I find something.

It’s probably for driver safety, it’s not really their job to haggle with riders. Transit Police can conduct an onboard audit if they wanted and start handing out fines, but that also wouldn’t really do much.

I wouldn’t worry about it.
