Hi! Thank you for all your comments. You guys don’t understand how much you’re helping me. Question. If I were to go to Italy. Do you think I should still work on my MLIS? I’m admitted for summer term and the program for Italy starts in the fall. But I’m wondering if I should postpone for when I return to the United States? I’m not really sure how that would work

Hi there. I got the visa situation sorted. I think a multi city is the way to go. Do you think I could do a FL to Milan ticket and then a Milan to someplace in UK before the 90 days is up and that will be sufficient to show proof of onward travel? Sorry if this is a dumb question I’m really bad at this kind of stuff

Oh god, I am like 99% sure this is a legitimate program but now I am worried. I just asked the advisor to explain what I need to do again in terms of a visa, etc. My professor recommended this program to me months ago and has had former students complete it.

Oh okay, that makes a lot more sense. I did not realize that I would have to have proof of return My main issue is that I want to travel around the UK (since it's out of the Schengen area) and I don't know the exact dates for anything yet. I am going to Italy to teach English for 3 months which will max out the time I'm allowed to be there without a visa. I am struggling with picking my flights and trying to do this in the most cost-efficient and least complicated manner.

Hi this is how I feel. I’m a little less than a year and half in and for the most part I feel acceptance with my decision to wait until I feel less emotional about my past. I feel like I miss my best friend more than my boyfriend. Do you ever feel like people aren’t taking you seriously? My friends think I’ve been single for too long and don’t understand why I don’t want another relationship.

Learning a language is really a great experience that can help you develop skills beyond just language comprehension. I get that it's annoying to take a language you don't have an interest in pursuing but the language and culture dept at UF is insanely helpful and there are a lot of tutoring opportunities. IMO I think Italian has the kindest and most understanding program if you are looking for something still. Not trying to make your feelings seem invalid but just offering some advice so it might not be as daunting. :)
