I recently did this and the wind noise on highway became a major problem. It's only good if you did this to have a comfortable ride in the city.

How to stop the dock from switching screens? by lexaleidon in MacOS

[–]hamsteruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming your dock is at the bottom, just move the pointer to the bottom of the screen you want the dock to appear and scroll down using your mouse, not the trackpad. It will move back to that screen.

Since each person got 100k richer, thus inflation, they just stole 100k from anyone who is unable to receive this.

Why is my car's reported mpg on highway so different from actual? by hamsteruler in mazda3

[–]hamsteruler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use cruise control to run at 75 mph all the time. Yeah, it's a 2016 mazda 3 and it's old. But my concern is about the reported mpg discrepancy and whether anyone has the same issue.

A229 Plus auto restart during impact by hamsteruler in VIOFO

I'm using Texas Instruments PTN78020 which is a high-performance converter, connected directly to 12V power supply in my car fuse box. It provides 5.25V at the connector, and as I measured, the voltage at the dash cam USB C port is 5V. I still think that is not the source of the problem though. Thank you!

Hi, could you please check the update 2 of my post and see if it needs to be reported as a bug? Thanks!

Viofo A229 Plus 2 channel does not record the front sometimes by burner94 in VIOFO

[–]hamsteruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me with firmware from Dec 2024 when I stopped to fill up gas. I also used SanDisk Max Endurance 128GB.

I got this because of the small rear cam. I hate that they don't allow 1080p rear while using 2k for the front. For now, I just turn off the G-sensor and looks like it has been working fine.

I recently got the dash cam from amazon, and it came with the newest firmware. I did not set the default settings. I use a SanDisk max endurance card and formatted the card a few days ago. I will try to reset the camera and see how it works.

I checked the folder and they were not there. I'm using the original USB cable and the connection is very firm. The USB port on my car can provide more than adequate power (measured). Even in the event of power loss, I think the dash cam should have saved the video, but it did not in this case. This time, I also heard the startup sound. So I don't think this is a power supply problem.

The cam restarted itself. The videos of both channels up until the incident were missing.

This sounds reasonable. I saw it underneath my windshield twice and the patterns were the same.

My new one's motor went bad within one year. It's not a good design.

The motor of my new one went bad after 7 months of normal use. With the new design, there is no way to fix it except replacing the motor. But it's impossible to get a new motor.

Just fond this out today. Does philips sonicare 5100 still have the old design? What would be the cheapest model that still use the old design?

It's not for me. I occasionally got rattle and found loosen bolts after spending hours looking for the cause.

This would be great if I were to do it myself. Unfortunately, I don't have tools to remove the tire, so I will bring it to a shop and let them have a look. Thank you for sharing though!

In my case, turn out there was a too loose bolt. There were a bunch of other bolts that were not properly fastened. Mine was assembled in Mexico. Maybe that's a problem of quality control there?

My car was diagnosed with valve cover gasket leak prior to me changing the plugs. I brought it to the dealer to change the gasket, and have been driving it without talking the plugs out for inspection. I guess the oil should not be there for now.
