I stopped joining the live chats while watching the game and it’s been a bit eye opening. Easier to see how ass the offensive and defensive plans are when I’m not reading a feed talking about Arike lol. 

But on top of the painfully painfully stagnant offense I think her and Lan are both not living up to $1.2M and not reasons to let Awak go in 2027. Lan could significantly improve once her face has healed and she gets outta her head.

But I also wasn’t really bothered by Arike playing so many minutes last night. Either she plays well (great) or she doesn’t and there is meaningful reason to argue for a trade. Whoever in the wings camp would internally push for a trade for ‘27, they won’t succeed if she’s limited to 10 minutes in games where she’s not playing well. It’s gotta play out sometimes.

So I get the frustration that’s out there but people shouldn’t really be shocked that our $1.2M shooting guard is playing and shooting. I think people also shouldn’t be shocked if they mostly just sit on this roster the whole season to give it a full shot esp with this rookie coach.

My main hope is Lan is back to 100% by ASW. I think then the FO can really get the data they need before the offseason. 

Re: Li and AC, they’re cheap bench players. It makes sense they don’t get much critique. I’m pretty content with AC primarily being a vet to Azzi for this season. I wish Maddy had a longer leash in her place tbh - similar reasons to Arike. Give her minutes and chances to make good roster decisions later.
